Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education is one of the most powerful instruments for creating lasting social change, and Smiley Children Society has remained committed to this belief since its inception on January 19, 2019. Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization has been working tirelessly to ensure that children from underprivileged families receive access to education, academic support, and opportunities that enable them to build a brighter future.
With its headquarters in Mandapeta and branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society has expanded its reach through volunteer-led initiatives that focus on educational inclusion and child welfare.
One of the organization’s key programs involves assisting children from economically weaker sections in securing admission to government schools. Volunteers visit villages and nearby communities, identify children who are out of school, interact with parents, provide awareness about the importance of education, and help complete the admission process in collaboration with school authorities.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the dedication of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for his efforts to encourage school enrollment among disadvantaged children.
“Our vision is simple—to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, regardless of financial background. Education is the first step toward creating confident individuals and stronger communities. Every child who enters a classroom represents hope for a better tomorrow,” said Prudhvi Moses.
In addition to facilitating school admissions, the organization conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara. The tuition program provides students with academic mentoring, homework assistance, concept clarification, and examination preparation, helping them improve their learning outcomes and stay motivated throughout the academic year.
To support children’s health and encourage regular attendance, Smiley Children Society also provides free dinner after each tuition session. This initiative addresses both educational and nutritional needs while providing meaningful relief to families facing economic challenges.
The organization also advocates for improving early childhood education by promoting creative learning methods in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, including programs at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has emphasized that interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, activity-based learning, educational games, music, and visual teaching aids can significantly enhance children’s interest in learning and overall development.
As part of its commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure, Smiley Children Society regularly donates educational equipment, classroom materials, and teaching aids to schools that encourage innovative teaching practices.
Looking ahead, the organization aims to broaden its educational initiatives, expand its volunteer network, and collaborate with more educational institutions and community organizations throughout Andhra Pradesh. By continuing to invest in children’s education, nutrition, and holistic development, Smiley Children Society remains dedicated to creating lasting social impact and empowering the next generation with the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed.
