According to news from Spain and England, Manchester United is interested in signing two FC Barcelona players including a Defender and an Attacking Midfielder. Manchester United on Sunday submitted a 30 million Euro bid for FC Barcelona and Spanish Wonderkid, Fermin Lopez after the player’s tremendous season with FC Barcelona. Fermin Lopez broke into the worldwide scene after scoring 11 goals ( including two goals in the ChampionsLeague) for FC Barcelona last season although primarily playing as a central Midfielder. The player was brought from the academy to replace Pedri, Gavi and Frenkie De Jong who were all injured during the course of the season. Fermin Lopez incredible campaign last season has solidified his place in the Spain squad that is currently taking part in the Euros in Germany. Barcelona has a track record of producing youngsters with the club’s players winning two out of the last three golden boy awards and Fermin Lopez is a major contender for the next award.
CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO OLISE FOR MANCHESTER UNITED
A number of attackers have been linked to Manchester United including Crystal palace duo, Eberechi Eze and Micheal Olise and Fermin Lopez will be a cheaper alternative to both players as Manchester United seek to replace Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Ambarat all who could be leaving the club this summer. However FC Barcelona are adamant and reluctant to let the player leave as they believe he is one for the future. A 30 million Euro bid has been submitted to the club but as it seems Manchester United will have to do a lot better in convincing the youngster in switching clubs.
MANCHESTER UNITED INTEREST IN RONALD ARAUJO
Another Barcelona star on Manchester United’s radar is strong center-back Ronald Araujo who has been linked with Manchester United and FC Bayern Munich in recent times as reports from Spain claims the club will sell either of their center back duo – Ronald Araujo or Jules Kounde – as the club look to ressurect their ever falling finances. The club will have to do a lot in convincing the player in coming to switch club as FC Barcelona rejected a bid for the 24 year old however the club will be willing to let go of the player if the right price is met.
RONALD ARAUJO COMBINATION WITH LISANDRO MARTINEZ
Manchester United is doing everything to fill the central defender role after the departure of Rapheal Varane and the shaky future of Victor Lindelof and Johnny Evans. The 6 foot 3 inch player will be a great partner for Lisandro Martinez who is lacking in height and just like Licha, the player is impeccable with the ball in his feet. Despite his age, the player has solidified himself as an integral part of the FC Barcelona squad as he was confirmed at the beginning of the previous season as one of the club’s four captain.
In a report from La Liga and Serie A insider Matteo Moretto gave an update on Araujo’s future, he wrote in his weekly journal saying “As we have been reporting since the start of the year, Ronald Araujo has not yet reached an agreement with Barcelona to extend his contract, and if important offers arrive in the summer, the Blaugrana club will most likely consider cashing in on the defender.”
